Nigel (Hugh Grant) in “Bitter Moon” (1992); boring, conservative, bit of a loser with morals. And his way of dancing is similar to mine, too. My favorite Polanski, with “Rosemary’s Baby”.

realistically: owen wilson in DARJEELING LIMITED or BOTTLE ROCKET

idealistically: alexander supertramp in INTO THE WILD

Probably James Bond or Batman

John LeTour in Light Sleeper, and Geoffrey Firmin in Under the Volcano, though it tends to vary with how I feel about myself really…

Rob Gordon in High Fidelity

When I was young there was definitely a little of Donny from The Big Lebowski going on. Poor guy.

Off the top of my head, probably Allan Grey in Vampyr.

At times I’ve also felt a little Hugh Jackman from The Fountain and Victor Sjostrom from Wild Strawberries (even though he’s got 40 years on me, at least).

All characters from Jason Reitman’s films are great.

Nick Naylor (Aaron Eckhart) – Thank You for Smoking

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) – Up in the Air

And even to Mavis Gary (Charlize Theron, Young Adult) to some extent.

And almost every character Woody Allen plays.

But when I get angry – Anton Chigurh (No Country for Old Men) :D

Marjane Satrapi – Persepolis
Johnny Case – Holiday

For some reason unknown to me or maybe i know alittle why, i always relate more to female characters than male ones.

I don’t know why, but characters like Chaplin’s Tramp and Keaton’s Stone Face have been the most appealing to me. I even felt the same thing with Apu in “Apur Sansar”.

Gael Garcia Bernal’s character in Babel

Alain Delon’s character in both Rocco and His Brothers and The Leopard

And many more.

The guy from Dark Horse.
