I told myself when I posted mine for August that I would spend the last two/three days catching up on much needed sleep. I couldn’t resist. I watched Magnficent Obsession (Sirk), and should be finishing Aronofsky’s The Fountain within the hour.

Pretty decent month I must say. I’ve been trying to focus on at least one director or one style of film per month to fill in the gaps of what I’ve been behind on. Last month was Frank V. Ross and Vittorio De Seta. This month I watched a lot of Brian de Palma and really appreciated many of the films I watched, particularly Dressed to Kill. Next month will be Tsai Ming Liang, HHH, and Werner Herzog.

I can’t really pick a favorite, because there were so many good ones. But some bad ones of noter were Detention, ATM, and You Instead (Tonight You’re Mine).

@LoC – TMotAS was a hard one for me to place, because my teen years looked absolutely nothing like what is depicted in the film. That said, I thought it was sympathetic and genuine. Maybe I would look at it as a more positive version of Kids?
