Just shifted through this whole thing. Its been mentioned by Corduroy Suit about 3 years ago but I need to put Damnation in here again.

When it comes to cinematography & contemporary filmmakers Tarr is just untouchable.

The first image he told me about was of three children on a road, in Iceland, in 1965.

Sans soleil indeed belongs in here. Recently bought a book of photographies by chris marker – the story he tells with them is mesmerizing
