Still need to see Drag Me to Hell. DiB lets do a horror poll like your last poll.
What about Oct. with final list done on Halloween?
You can see a lot of Raimi in the Spider-Man films. Havent seen the third one which is regarded the weakest by popularity but Im glad he got to work on larger budget pictures.
I had the opportunity of getting it for like $5 and I passed it up. All because I thought it excessive that I was getting another Cannes 2009 release…stupid reasoning…
Bump. Bringing this topic back to life.
The ceiling, getting darker and darker as the eyes get heavier and heavier…
a) John Sayles’ Amigo
b) The Nameless — Spanish horror film based a book my Ramsey Campbell I read yyyyyeeeeaaarrrssss ago
c) Mondays in the Sun
d) Photographing Fairies
Building up my blu-rays and what should i watch
a) Miller’s Crossing
b) Blade Runner
c) Heaven’s Gate (already watched the supplements)
and i envy u for having it
I only own a handful of blu rays (not big on possesions, but I do like owning movies in the clouds)
still I bought one of my favorite films on blu ray yesterday, Last Chance Harvey, only 4 bucks!!
The supplement of Heaven’s Gate on the restoration was good, but very surface, I would have love a more in-depth piece and more comparisons. I just starting buying blu-rays a couple months ago and I gotta admit that I can really see the difference. I even saw detail in Apocalypse Now that I hadn’t notice before, even after a good 25 viewings.
yeah huge difference with blu rays
I imagine the best material with HG will be the director commentary
wish someone would make a decent Sun Chasers bluray
and ended up falling asleep and watching nothing
Okay people, help me out:
- Hoop Dreams
- Rare Exports
- Peppermint Frappe
- The Exterminating Angel
I’m probably won’t be of much help (and I guess I’m a bit late)—as I’ve only seen Hoop Dreams and The Exterminating Angel. I think Hoop Dreams is excellent (although I don’t think I fully understand or appreciate The Exterminating Angel.)
