I find Stallone to be vastly underrated.
His movies may be a bit silly for the most part (action films) but Rocky, Rocky Balboa, First Blood, Cop Land, all nice performances.
Those other dudes are too far off the A List to even consider mentioning.
Those action stars like Stallone,Seagal,Bruce Lee,Arnold Schwarzzenegger, and those guys inclouding Chuck Norris.
Another person I really can’t stand is Ethan Hawke. He gets on my nerves quick.
I love Bogie and I can’t stand to look at Orlando Bloom’s greasy hair and he has an ugly face too.
Best—Javier Bardem (“Before Night Falls”), Daniel Day-Lewis (“There Will Be Blood”), Philip Seymour Hoffman (“Capote,” “Boogie Nights,” everything else he’s in).
Worst—NICHOLAS CAGE (every bad movie ever made. ever).
Worst working actor: Matthew McConaughey.
I don’t think he’s the best, but I really think George Clooney has put up some remarkably restrained but watchable performances. Solaris, Michael Clayton, and Syriana are a pretty impressive recent grouping.
Hayden Christainsen is also wretched.
I love Clooney but feel his performances are all the same. He always plays Clooney.
I watched E.R. and loved him in that, but he never seems to have tried to stretch his wings sans Oh Brother. I did however, find Michael Clayton his best role to date. But still …. it was Clooney.
My favorite actor has to be Tadanobu Asano. The guy has done a very wide variety of roles and he reminds me a lot of myself — especially in “Last Life in the Universe”.
One actor I just don’t like is Matt Damon. Something about him just doesn’t click with me.
Love: Daniel Day-Lewis, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Erland Josephson, Jeanne Moreau, Liv Ullman, Max von Sydow, Robert Downey Jr., Toshirô Mifune, Harvey Keitel, Takashi Shimura. I also like David Thewlis, especially in Naked.
Make my eyes and ears bleed: Will Ferrell, Tom Cruise, Scarlett Johansson, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Stiller, Demi Moore
I know you used the pronouns “actor” and “him”…but I hope you meant to be inclusive for women.
I have a lot of overlap with Amelia Bedelia:
Best: Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Albert Finney, Stellan Skargaard, Bill Murray, Naomi Watts, Sean Penn, Emily Watson, Philip Seymour Hoffman
Worst: Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise, Scarlett Johansson, Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman (I know I’ll pay for this, but he does the same thing in every film EXCEPT for Dreamcatcher—I think that says something), Penelope Cruz (this one hurts, I love Almodovar…but he really needs a new muse), Kirsten Dunst
Don’t have a favorite but I really adore Marcello Mastroianni, Jean Paul Belmundo, Anna Karina, John Lurie, Bill Murray.
I don’t know that I’d call them my favorites, but I always feel like its a treat when Bob Hoskins, Benecio del Toro or John Turturro pops up in a film. The term favorite is a pretty heavy cross to carry, but I have a lotta love for Sam Rockwell, Jeff Bridges and Jeffrey Wright as well.
Least favorite though is pretty clear cut. I can’t effing stand Richard Gere and that smug self-satisfied face of his. UGH.
Good call on Turturro, Ben. He’s often the best part of whatever movie he’s in.
Al Pacino has been terrible since the 1990s. When I see that he is in an upcoming film, I write that film off. I don’t want to anticipate, and then wait through, his voice-raising 2 minute rants that are his stock-in-trade since “The Devil’s Advocate”… or was it since “Heat?”
My favorites actors to watch, even when they star in terrible films, are Natalie Portman (“Mona Lisa Smile”, anyone?), Irene Jacobs, Catherine Deneuve, Edward Norton (“The Hulk” excepted) and Sean Penn.
Favorite -
Brando (not an original choice, I know, but I’ll expand: I even like his later works)
Can’t Look At -
William Shatner
Favorite Actors — James Stewart, Buster Keaton, Mel Blanc, Johnny Depp, Daniel Day-Lewis, Carole Lombard, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bette Davis, John Barrymore.
Actors I Can’t Bear To Look At: Keanu Reeves, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Brad Pitt
paul newman is my fav. and i cannot watch a film with billy bob thornton in it. better yet, i refuse to watch anything with the guy in it.
Best actor: Christian Bale
Worst actor: Steven Seagal
Bill Murray is my favorite actor. Jack Nicholson is a close second. I get the allure of Michael Pitt, but I can’t watch him without wanting to bathe him.
I love all movies with klaus kinski, harvey kietal, mickey rouke, vincent gallo, philp seymour hoffman, micheal keaton, gena rowlands, joanne woodward, and victor argo.
i cant stand john legaziumo, hes awful..(empire being one of the worst things ive ever seen)

Favorite, bygone days – Al Pacino
Favorite, current – Leonardo Di Caprio, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington,
Worst (all time) – Tom Cruise
Favorite – Leslie Cheung.
Least – Meg Ryan.
De niro or Edward Norton are my personal favorites. Come on!, just watch Fight Club and Taxi Driver.
God damn it please someone kill Eddie Murphy
Steve McQueen as far as cool Hollywood goes.
Paul Newman in “The Verdict”; should have won that Oscar over Ben Gandhi Kingsley; I’m sorry, you just cannot win an Oscar just because you look like a famous guy…Newman was robbed.
Currently:
Johnny Depp is very good and has great versatility.
Robert Downey Jnr. is fantastic in pretty much anything he does.
I voluminously hate Shia LeBoeuf , or whatever he calls himself; the worst actor that gets major roles since that other guy that destroyed many 80’s films fading in obscurity eventually himself:Steve Guttenberg.
Cannot stand “the beef”……
I can’t stand Michael Madsen, his voice, his look, the way he acts, everything just irritates the hell out of me.
I love me some Naomi Watts, though. I even watched this terrible horror movie called Down just because she was in it.
Favourites:
James Stewart
Gene Kelly
Donald O’Connor
Fred Astaire
Ginger Rogers
Jean-Pierre Leaud
Cary Grant
Charlie Chaplin
Humphrey Bogart
Katherine Hepburn
Rosalind Russell

Check out Edward J.Wood ,jr.
He is worst actor of all the time.

In the “Ed Wood” his role is playing Johny Depp
