Currently, and for the last 20 winters, in Vermont, on a dirt road 8 miles from the nearest village … but before that, downtown Manhattan … and before that a few years in San Francisco … and some time in the Borders of Scotland after fleeing Athens … and many years in Denver … and Boulder for college … and the dark, weird Colorado Springs from 5 to 17 … but originally from Beebe, Arkansas (the house in which I was born, they tell me, swept away in a tornado during the Clinton years).
Winters are getting harder here and I’m thinking of moving on again. Patagonia? New Zealand? Any suggestions …
