Good question, I usually go to imdb first and read the reviews/board posts, then wikipedia…
lol that was the fun information I got from wikipeda. It was a really great article, so I guess I shouldn’t be complaining, but is there some kind of general online catalog of essays, interpretations, and reviews of films?
Thanks cookiemonster!
try out"senses of cinema"…http://www.sensesofcinema.com/2002/great-directors/aldrich/#film
Thanks for linking to Senses of Cinema Theo. Nice site.
Back issues of Video Watchdog?
Hmm, I’ve read a few good articles on the film, but I can’t quite remember where. I’m sure there are plenty of blogs that cover it though. This link seems promising from a breif glance since it goes through the film pretty thoroughly. Of course you could try asking some questions about it here as well and seeing where that takes you. Just don’t be too vague about what you are thinking or looking for.
Drunken Father Figure of Old
So I just watched Kiss Me Deadly & don’t have a lot to say about it, but I really want to read about it. I was hoping for a discussion about its interpretation here on Mubi, but there’s nothing – only a few wall posts. My next step is wikipedia (which did give me some fun information, but usually has very little), and then imdb (and you can guess how that usually turns out). Is there a place you guys go to find discussions, essays, or articles on films that you can recommend me?
