Hiroshima Mon Amour.
If for some reason you can’t get that, Two Lane Blacktop. But all of those titles are worth buying.
I second Hiroshima mon amour, and suggest Chungking Express as a plan b.
Two-lane Blacktop is the most human, real road movie that I have ever seen.
I really like Hiroshima, mon amour but my opinion has no wait since it is the only one of seen (I now shy away in embarrassment).
Looks like a blind choice, Hiroshima Mon Amour has got the most nods (including mine)….
if not Chungking Express, Double Life of Veronique, Army of Shadows in that order.
Stranger Than Paradise
I’d buy Stranger Than Paradise :)
My first choice is “Hiroshima Mon Amour,” “Army of Shadows” and “Double Life of Veronique” the second.
Double Life of Veronique for sure, unless you have a Blu-Ray player, in which case The Man Who Fell to Earth is essential.
Well, Ryan, which one did you get? :-)
Double Life of Veronique
I ended up getting Hiroshima Mon Amour. I almost bought The Man Who Fell to Earth, but decided against it.
Hiroshima is still a fascinating film. Well worth purchasing.
Ryan
Here I am again, and I promise this is the last time for a few months. I’m gonna buy another DVD, but I’m not sure which to pick. My choices are -
Hiroshima Mon Amour
The Man Who Fell to Earth
Army of Shadows
Stranger Than Paradise
Two-Lane Blacktop
Chungking Express
Hobson’s Choice
Double Life of Veronique
Thanks!
