Hi, I’m new here =D
I suggest adding Shunji Iwai’s Love Letter, Hana & Alice, as well as Rainbow Song (which he produced)
as well as films by Tetsuya Nakashima, like Kamikaze Girls, and Memories of Matsuko.
And how about Linda Linda Linda?

Exhaustive list of directors and movies, very poor availability of the very same movies :(
No film by Truffaut, Chabrol, Malle, Fassbinder, Jarmush, Ford…. and I could keep going until that list would become exhaustive too…
Pretty pretentious…

Daniele Segre’s little seen MANILA PALOMA BLANCA (1992). I think it deserves to be better known.
Also, the films of Gianni Amelio, LAMERICA in particular, and Silvio Soldini, especially UN ANIMA DIVISA IN DUE.
