I would like to see a Lav Diaz film on here, but I can imagine that the average running time of his films (8-10 hours) may present a problem. Batang West Side might be a little more manageable at 5 hours in length. I have the director’s email address if you want to contact him, just send me a pm. I’ve contacted him before about sending me a copy of his films and he has yet to send them to me, but I think coming from a legit company like The Auteurs, you guys might get a better response.

I’d like to see more 3-D films on The Auteurs, especially those starring Chesty Morgan.

Lately, I have a passion to see features by The Brothers Quay: Institute Benjamenta and Piano Tuner of Earthquakes. I have had no luck tracking these down locally, so far. I think they need more recognition and exposure. At least, I would love to see these two films.
The Day The Clown Cried. London After Midnight. Colin McKenzie’s Salome. ;-)
Really great job on the recent uploads— I think that every film I’ve mentioned has made it (Satyricon, Touch of Evil, Strangers on a Train, Stroszek, etc. etc. etc.), and I’m just about dry on suggestions. I only have a few other wishes, which I’m sure will be added to the collection on here sooner or later.. This first group (Tarkovsky, Bergman, Ray, etc.) are the films I really care about, the rest are just for the sake of naming a few more, though I don’t really care if they ever join the list.. Thanks!
Nostalghia – Tarkovsky
Life is Beautiful (La Vita e Bella) – Benigni
The Passion of Anna – Bergman
Charulata – Satyajit Ray
Jalsaghar: The Music Room – Satyajit Ray
City of Women – Fellini
not as important:
13 Tzameti – Géla Babluani (even though I wasn’t too big on this one)
The Way Home – Jeong-hyang Lee
Bananas – Woody Allen
Bread and Tulips – Silvio Soldini
Il Postino – Michael Radford
In the spirit of the recently uploaded Disney Classics—
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) – David Hand
Bambi (1942) – David Hand
Lady and the Tramp (1955) – Clyde Geronimi
and whatever other classic Disney
documentaries:
The Cats of Mirikitani – Linda Hattendorf (Both Col. Dax and I enjoyed this one)
March of the Penguins – Luc Jacquet
Mad Hot Ballroom – Marilyn Agrelo
LA GRANDE GUERRA
di Mario Monicelli.
1959
Billy Wilder’s Stalag 17
With the recent activity in Iran, I’d like to see Song of Sparrows by Majid Majidi!
Or maybe, the documentary Mechanical Love by Phie Ambo
They shoot Horses, Don’t They? (1969)
“Blind Date”/ “Chance Meeting”/ “L’Enquète de l’inspecteur Morgan”(1959) by Joseph Losey……for a first time view.
