Grey Daisies, who I have never talked to, does some amazing lists of avant-garde/experimental cinema; you could cherry-pick Grey’s two most popular lists to come up with an excellent syllabus for a class on the avant-garde in film.

I don’t think that Uli’s been muzzled, though for sure I’ve seen some of his remarks moderated. But anyway if he has it would have been because he has a hot temper and calls people out, not because he’s psychotic.

Uli’s among the filmmaker posters, like Santino, and DiB and others, and we can always use more of those on the forum. Conversation’s a lot more interesting when it ceases to be entirely theoretical and gets into the real territory. As a fellow filmmaker, I can appreciate.

Well I like Dim but that post on Ruby’s page was way beyond the pale. I was frankly taken aback. If someone ever posted something like that on my page I’d be sending the furies after them.

i’ve known dim well enough not to feel threatened. and he was already banned at that point and so posted on his own page. personally i wouldn’t have a problem with him coming back but he won’t have changed
