I have seen so many threads about the JL Godard…
I can’t think of a place where Noe is revered more than on Mubi.
Revered and reviled, you mean.
There’s no place in the internet where you can find so many Michael Bay defenders (or apologists) as you can find in Mubi’s forum.
I thought that Bergman would be the king of threads but people don’t seem to care that much about him.
Reviled by me. Revered by most everyone else.
Pretty much anyone I hate, everyone else loves.
Godard and Kubrick.
The directors with the most votes to their films in the Greatest Films Poll were Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Coppola, Hitchcock, Malick, Scorsese, Bergman, Dreyer, Godard, and Welles. So I guess they’re the most popular ones around here.
