I’m in Carrboro, NC, so I’m in the same boat as you. That is, except for the part where you had to drive in this crap :)
It just started snowing here about an hour ago. We’re expected to get between 15-20 inches of snow in New England with gusts of wind up to 40mph. Dress warmly…
fortunately i have a four wheel drive vehicle and plenty of films to watch.
The liquor store was freakin mobbed.
Liquor stores are open on Sunday in Rhode Island, Robert? Lucky… Texans love liquor, but they still close the stores on Sunday.
It got down to freezing… my dog’s water bowl was frozen over… but it’s like 50 degrees now… so… pretty comfortable for the end of December.
Yup, at noon people were lined up at the door.
Couple of days with relatives creates that kind of demand.
You’re telling me…
We got maybe 4 inches in Durham, NC.
God has dandruff.
Man it’s like Allison’s drawing from The Breakfast Club out there. This is gonna be a good one.
oh how we miss Canadian rappers….
Just started seriously in Boston. Looking like a foot and a half but it’s not real heavy stuff.
Could be worse.
You’re kidding?
Total white-out here and heavy.
wow! friends are stuck on their way back to DC from Maine….snow in SC ???
is this when you easterners bring out your tire chains…or are they for mountain roads only?
be safe!
(p.s. we got 6" on Mauna Kea too :)
A few inches in Big Bear City, CA.
There is a “shit ton” of snow here in Montréal…
@Robert Peabody III - yeah, it’s coming down alright but it’s pretty cold and the moisture content isn’t too high so it isn’t that stuff that weighs like cement.
I’m near the water so it is warmer here – looks like maybe 12-15 when it is done.
The wind is blowing so hard here that the world looks sideways. All I can hear is a roaring, whistling wind, the house creaking and moaning, the occasional snow plow and snow mobile, and lots of sirens off in the distance…and my cat is snoring little cat tunes through her little cat nostrils.
Yeah, the wind was shaking the house earlier, but has really died down quite a bit now.
greetings from austria
everything was fine till the 23rd of dez, but then it got warmer and took away our christmas snow!
Loads of snow in Estonia. A very snowy Christmas :)
Cats that love snow? Snow= water. The only thing less probable is…
@Anonymouse: Certain cats do love water/snow. My maine coon (Orson Welles) loves faucets, rain, and, particularly, snow.
Got an inch or two in Columbus, OH … not that bad though really. Cold as hell.
I’ve never had a cat… or a dog… or any pets, really. I guess you can eat them if ever you run out of food. I can tell you from experience that cat is pretty good but dog I’ve never had.
@Anonymouse – My cat’s going to eat me if she runs out of food! I probably won’t put up too much of a fight… :)

I’m in North Wilkesboro, NC, and on Christmas Day and through the night, we got six inches of snow.
Had to drive my wife to work at 5:45 this morning to boot!
