and Aurthur Hiller did one at 85. he is 87 now and has another lined up

By the way, Den, although he’s in the 87th year of his life, Hiller is 86. He won’t be 87 until his birthday this November. Woody is still 74, Eastwood is 79. Russell is 82. Common mistake when calculating ages.

As i’ve said elsewhere, Oliveira started filming Douro, Faina Fluvial in 1929- which means he’s now an active film-maker in 10 different decades

Miklós Jancsó is sitll making films. Born in 1921. He’ll be 89 this year.

Kaneto Shindo died Tuesday in Tokyo. He was 100 years old.
