Wow. The French come out well here, don’t they? Then the Brits and Swedes.
DAZZA – Milla is a Russian-speaking Ukrainian, and her home was Russian-speaking. On the dimmer side, her Dad was the Russian Mafia’s point man on the West Coast – he was allegedly dispatched there by the Mafia shortly after the USSR caved in: that’s why the family moved to LA, from Russia. Coupla years later, he was sentenced to 25 years in a Federal prison. Milla, who adores hm, assembled a legal “dream team” not too long ago and got Daddy sprung. This is true – Milla can sue me if it’s not.
interesting story. i didnt know that. i’d like to see a movie based on her life!
I’ve been reminded a couple of times here that I am “repeating” threads. I never heard the term “thread” before getting into the Forum. The threads you refer to are “old.” I’m not sifting through 25-30 old pages of threads and blogs to discover whether or not the one I want to enter is a “repeat.” Very sorry to seem disagreeable.
PS – As re. film beauties, anyone remember Rita Tushingham (sp?) Dr. Zhivago, among others.
This is a silly question, but I’ll bite. Monica Vitti is probably my favorite.
Kate Winslet
Eva Green
Sienna Miller
Monica Bellucci
Edna May Oliver
Brigitte Bardot of course, but no one has mentioned Racquel Welch or Ava Gardner yet! I like the Eva Green vote, but only in “The Dreamers” not the Bond movie.
zooey deschanel
@Matthew Griffiths: Tricia Vessey!! Oh yes.
Anna Karina
Gordon, the majority of threads here are redundant to some degree and it’s no big deal to most of us. People can either respond or ignore it if they choose. I’d like to point out though that they recently improved the search feature and now you can actually type in a topic and find out if it’s been covered without shuffling through a bunch of pages.
Your enthusiasm for posting topics is great, Gordon. But I would say, don’t look at the old threads as things you have to look through before posting, think of them as interesting reading because they are. When I first got here, I was posting new threads all the time, then I actually went back and looked at some of the “old” threads, there’s some great stuff there. Like the one on Classic Film Noir.
madeline stowe is not hot. she’s completely average looking.
Ever? Uncompromisingly and unwaveringly, Audrey Hepburn.
Penelope Cruz
Claudia Cardinale
Sophia Loren
Ava Gardner.
Cheers,
Steve

Elizabeth Taylor
I’m not sure about the most beautiful ever, but I’m going to go with two Fellini starlets – Anita Ekberg and Claudia Cardinale.
Oh yeah, Claudia Cardinale… Rrrrrrrrr!
Plenty of Deneuve fans ’round here, but how ’bout her late sister, Francoise Dorleac.
Claudia Cardinale, even in that blink and miss scenes in 81/2, thanks for reminding…
I’ll put in another vote for Juliette Binoche.
I’ll go with Vivien Leigh, Audrey Hepburn, Maria Felix, Eva Green, Penelope Cruz and Elizabeth Taylor
Bobby Wise
because she’s not that pretty.
now jessica alba, that’s something worth mentioning. shes a firecracker in “sin city”.
