Historically, Bridget Bardot (Contempt), Ingrid Bergman, and Sophia Loren (lining the walls of every Buca in the country, which only adds to the dining experience).
Also, more recently a fan of Evan Rachel Wood (after Across the Universe), Natalie Portman, and that girl that was in CQ. The last one might be that CQ just had that 60’s French Sci-Fi vibe to it. She hasn’t impressed me that much in her other roles.
Yes, Justin, I’m sure Kate Hudson could give Proust a boner but as soon as she would start to speak or act, he would turn to men again.
I was going to skip this one until I noticed Harry’s mention of Ava Gardner in NIGHT OF THE IGUANA and I thought, yeah: an overwrought melodrama based on another Tennessee Williams play, but I’ve always loved this movie, for Gardner’s sexually unbound Maxine. The script tries to rob her of these qualities as the movie labors forward, but she refuses to let this happen. Richard Burton is fair as the boozy defrocked minster. Deborah Kerr is stiffer than even the script needs her to be as the unapproachable love interest. Sue Lyons misfires as the nymphet (no Baby Doll here). But I’ll watch it again and again, just to revisit Maxine in that crumbling Mexican hotel of hers.
Ava Gardner and Rita Hayworth.
Voluptuous, truly beautiful, and sexy as an actress…..both fit to a tee.
Natalie Wood always gets honorable mention in my book.
I too love Audrey Hepburn….I don’t know why, but I do.
Halle Berry is very beautiful; she has some of that same dark ‘vavoom’ Ava gave off (Those eyes….)
LOL Ulrich, that is so funny!
Halle Berry is indeed gorgeous… and most likely insane. But so so gorgeous.
why insane? or do you just mean in a typical, detached from reality, hollywood star manner?
CAMILLA HORN (and for those of you who didn’t yet see Murnau’s Faust, get to it)!
Bobby Wise
interesting. a lot of you guys like audrey hepburn. to me, she looks like a teenage boy.
just to clarify, that’s not attractive to me!
