I think many if not most of the people here would agree with you 100%. This isn’t imdb.
I think here you’d get questions like “Why is The Godfather considered the greatest film of all time?” or “15 reasons why Sergei Parajanov’s 1968 opus ‘Sayat Nova’ is overrated”.
And questions like, “do you have ADD? Why are you starting so many threads? calm down and read through a bunch of older threads and bone up on what is discussed on this site.”
But, yeah, superhero movies are not all the rage here.
Yeah, I agree with John. You’re basically preaching to the choir. And I’m saying this as a person who likes superhero movies, especially when they’re done well (which is rare).
@ULI are you saying that to me?
Uli can be cranky, Joey, so don’t worry about it.
get off my lawn
Case in point. :)
Don’t worry Joey, you can hang out on my lawn, and I’m sure there will be others that will welcome you as well. I think it’s a great that a twelve year old is into movies the way you are!
how the hell do you know im twelve!
cause we’re all stalking you, look out your window
lol
the third rule of mubi club- always remember what you write in other threads
I guess

… great? I mean searching on some lesser sights you get people that are saying, and I quote, ‘the greatest movie of all time’. WHY?
Firstly in superhero movies the performances are never amazing or mind blowing in any way. You want to see a great performance then grow up and watch something like Taxi Driver or The Godfather.
Secondly the story lines are usually very predictable, although I hear The Dark Knight Rises has not got one but what you always have is a situation where it all comes out good in the end. Why not make something a bit more old school and have a shock ending, where not everything is happily ever after.
This may sound like a very bad thin to say but I have been wanting to say it for a long time. I will get a lot of hate but what do you think?
