Yes, thanks. Both matches take place from 7pm GMT 15th December to 6pm GMT 16th December.

I have just finished uploading Yaaba for Team Africa, making all of its three selections ready for viewing.

Of the twelve films in competition, Team India’s The Name of a River is the only one not yet available for online viewing, but Apursansar will be uploading this within the next couple of days.

Oh, just a note about the Silences of the Palace upload. You will notice that there are few seconds of footage missing between parts 7 and 8 and then a couple of minutes missing between parts 12 and 13. This is because the copy was taped off European television and the person who recorded it made some mistake. So there was no way I could fix this, as the film is not available on DVD. Please do not hold this against the film itself. 99% of the film is there, and you will be able to enjoy this gem of North African cinema.

Having been trying to track the film down for quite a while I can confirm that it´s indeed difficult to obtain a copy, and we appreciate that you managed to upload it from the only available version. Afterall, there were also some minutes of film footage missing from the “Goryeojang”-copy, and people were able to enjoy the film nevertheless.

I had time to watch Silences of the Palace today, actually – I didn’t notice the minutes missing between parts 7 and 8. The cut in between 12 and 13 is a little obvious, but didn’t affect my opinion of the movie negatively at all. Missing some footage or not, it was a really good movie.

Team India´s selection “The Name of a River” by Anup Singh is now finally online with English subtitles, and the complete playlist can be found here. Many thanks to Blue K and Arsaib for helping out with the subtitle files.

Thanks apursansar (& co.)! I saw that you had started uploading yesterday and took a sneak peek. I have to say… so far it’s been gorgeous and I’m looking forward to finishing the film sometime today. :)

The Name of a River is absolutely brilliant. I already hate Apursansar for having chosen this film and I hate myself even more for having helped him with the upload. :P

It was not my first choice, Blue. I had actually planned to save this film for in case that India qualified for the final match, but since converting “Boatman on the River Padma” didn´t work out I had to already make use of it. But “Faraw! Mother of the Dunes” is as well a wonderful film, so it´s certainly going to be interesting.
