King’s Speech….fucking overrated.
I’ve heard about BALLISTIC on several occasions…apparently they just didn’t even bother to make it make any sense. Sounds terrible.
I just watched Crichton’s RUNAWAY (1984) the other night…I don’t normally enjoy any “so bad it’s good” projects, but almost every detail, performance, and genre trope in it was entertaining from beginning to dead end, last frame. Terrible, terrible filmmaking, and a treasure. I giggled freely, often.
Strange Culture
Stalker is up there.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Sin City
Was initially intrigued that a store was still open that had old & obscure VHS tapes (but only for sale, not for rental.) Paid (still can’t believe I did!) for an ’80s horror headache Horror House on Highway Five. So awful that I immediately took it out to my car and threw it underneath one of the seats after I watched it (still shocked that I watched the whole thing.) Then I later gave it away to an unsuspecting person and told them it was a must-see grindhouse classic. If they believed my lie, it will be amusing to hear their reaction once they watch the POS.
king kong and lord of the ring – peter jackson
too much cgi and kinda regret it why i watch this in theater..
I love bad movies, bu there are those so bad that even I cannot finish watching them…
Evil Bong
Butchered
Joe vs The Volcano
Bonfire of the Vanities (and I’m a big DePalma fan – I love Phantom of the Paradise)
possibly Enter the void
Abduction - 2011
1. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid
3. The Box
4. Flipped
5. Transformers
Godard films.
Lol. All Godard films Alex? I could see how his style could probably annoy people.
The two recently viewed films that really stick out to me as awffffful would have to be Dogtooth and Antichrist. Yuck with a capital shit.
Too many to think of. It’s all too easy to cite utter rubbish. But, thinking of really terrible films which have some sort of rep or which have laughingly won a prize….. “No Country For Old Men” is up there! Utter drivel, slow, boring, almost unintelligible badly spoken dialogue, unpleasant violence, just total garbage.
Another worthless film which some people like is “Brokeback Mountain”. This is illiterate tripe, about as realistic or interesting as a cracked toilet bowl.
waaay tooo mannny to mention
but I will say I have particular disdain for heartless packages thrown together to make money AND that manage to waste a lot of real talent….
Prime Example:
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 (hands down the WORST film of the 21st century)
Tried to watch Avatar on tv tonight, that was just horrible. Switched it off and watched a French film instead.
In the last couple years. I’d probably says its a tie between Kick-Ass and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. No films have been equal in the worthlessness to the amount they made.
Showgirls, but at the same i enjoy myself while watching this turd for being so stupid and makes me laugh so hard.
“Man, everybody got aids and shit” LOOOL
The Room, the same thing i said about Showgirls. “Ohh Hi Mark”
The LOTR Trilogie, sooooo booooring.
The new Star Wars Trilogie. when i was a kid i was major addicted in the star wars films, some people move on like i did, others… well stay kids forever. Anyway the new trilogie is so full of clichés, and it’s boring, stupid, and i could be ok with that if they made me laugh but no! the only thing they do is rape my childhood. Even the light saber fights are no longer battles between good and evil, are just choreographic dance moves damn it…AHHHH i hate so much the new trilogie. FUCK YOU ALL
The lastest Indiana Jones film. The same thing i said about Star Wars.
Batman & Robin. massive turd
The Postman and Waterworld. Kevin Costner’s thing for post-apocalyptic films… massive turds.
Twister. Phail, Phail, Phail, cows flying? seriously? wtf, and every cliché on the book FFS.
Inspector Gadget, the move. another that raped my childhood
Godzilla by that german director that makes the film over and over, i can’t remember his name. The independence day makes laugh for his stupidity but Godizilla it’s just…i don’t know, move on.
double post
1. Avalanche (1994 TV) David Hasselhoff…..
2. Dude, Where’s My Car?
3. The Grudge 2
4. Big Momma’s House
5. The Love Guru
6. Coneheads
7. Kazaam
8. Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot
9. Joe’s Apartment
10. Transformers: Dark of the Moon
a dangerous method.
The Happening – the acting is so bad it’s funny. The idea for the film is alright though.
The Butterfly Effect 2
Really anything made by Michael Bay is wholly incompetent IMO in terms of plotting, characterisation, etc. People say "Well, “The Island” isn’t bad". Yeah, it is. It really is that bad.
So the nominees: “Transformers 3”; “Troll 2”; The “Turkish” Star Wars (no, I’m not making this shit up); “Blackwoods” (Uwe Boll); “Life Is Beautiful”
My “Winner”: “Life Is Beautiful” (Robert Benigni). All kinds of wrong.
Life is Beautiful? Out of curiosity, what did you find wrong with the film? My worst film would be The Room. It really isn’t so bad that it’s good. It’s just awful.
Rent
I’d have to second a previous poster with Aronofsky’s The Fountain. A shame, really, as Pi and Requiem for a Dream were very nearly brilliant.
Alphaville. Exemplifies everything that’s wrong with Godard. SO GD BORING.
I hated both Transformers 2 and 3.
Revenge of the Fallen was just plain boring
Dark of the Moon was terribly acted and on for too long….I just wanted it to end about an hour before it did.
I remember thinking this movie was one of the worst I have ever seen but never could remember the title. It had Ronald Reagan as a Confederate officer vying for a woman who also catches the eye of his brother, who just so happens to fight for the Union Army. This is a Western so Indians have to figure somewhere and just like a 1990s alien invasion movie people settle their differences, yes, the North and South side settle their distances, to fight off the Indians. I just would love to know that film’s title.
