No, it’s definitely New Moon. I walked out after 45 mins. Not acting, just posturing.

Dennis Brian

new moon was a least unintentionally funny whereas year one, nothing worse than an unfunny comedy

worst i’ve seen:

New Moon
Airdoll
Chloe
Broken Embraces
My Dog Tulip

transformers 2 is on my list I would certainly give it 0 stars but there are at least 20films for this year that i feel that way about including bride wars and white out

Harry Long

It’s a tight race (given NEW MOON and TRANSFORMERS2 are out there), but I vote PRECIOUS.

Dennis Brian

there are so many bad movies; every year I would say that 75 percent of movies that are made on any given year are bad

Harry Long

I’d say that’s probably a low estimate.
(But then maybe I’m including films that simply aren’t my cuppa mocha java.)

New Moon is not the worst movie of the year; it is substantially better than Transformers 2. At least it tired.

I haven’t seen one that I really hated, but the worst TRAILER would have to go to G.I. Joe

Transformers 2 is a compendium of wrong.

Dennis Brian

New Moon is hated in part because some men (myself included) who were dragged by gfs to see twlight thought it wasn’t that bad and new moon might acually be okay but it wasn’t it was as bad as I thought twlight would be. Transformers 2 wasn’t any worse than the first one its awfulness was completely expected

Den, New Moon is substantially better than effing Twilight, which I abso-freaking-lutely hated.

I must disagree I found elements of the director’s best work (thirteen, nativity story) in twlight and I thought the script was fairly compelling

Den, well, I like Harwicke quite a bit, but I felt that the movie was just too cheesy to deal with, and that most of the acting was quite awful. I mean, sure, there is some good prodcution design, and the like, but most of that film is just freaking bad…

I don’t want to defend twlight lets change the subject

Listen, I haven’t seen New Moon but I’m here to tell you it can’t be worse than Crank: High Voltage.

Den, good idea…hahaha.

Rumple, well, I didn’t see it, but at least it’s got Jason Statham, who’s fun to watch. But you might have something there…

In my opinion the worst this year was Hangover, and not just the worst this year but in quite a while.

I haven’t really seen many bad films this year but Transformers 2 was rubbish and the boring Fast & Furious could get a mention.

Dennis Brian

I liked it alright but I am partial to mike tyson

StefR

Precious. Maybe Boondock Saints II (haven’t seen it, but the original is terrible).

Robert Merk

I will resist the obvious (i.e. The Hangover) and select the mind-numbingly bad “A Serious Man”. Having sat through their last three pictures (a feat in itself), I’m thinking we may have already seen the best the boys have to offer many years ago.

Kurt I agree chole horrid! Atom Egoyan has bee nothing but a disapointment for the past few years. If you want a better version of this watch Nathalie the film that was based on…..

I have three films I hated this year:

The informers- it had no subtance (unless you count the illegal kind). It went nowhere and I am sick and tired of Brett Easton Ellis’s same “pretty people with problems” characters.

Easy Virtue- One of the best plays by Noel Coward got runied with Biels acting. The rest of the actors were great. This would have been a wonderful film if Biel had not gotten cast. If I were Biel I would stop reading from que cards.

Watchmen- Runied a wonderful graphic novel. I was so pissed about the end of the film that I actually walked out.

Dennis Brian

informers was awful. the only movie i walked out of was star trek

Steve Oerkfitz

The problem with this sort of selection is that many movies that would be on my worst list I have avoided and will never see.
I would go with Observe and Report-makes The Hangover look like a classic.
Robert-I liked A Serious Man and NCFOM so I have to disagree with you there.

Star Trek is good!!!!! I just can’t believe you would put it in the same company as Transformers

Dennis Brian

It is good if you have never seen any of the other ones maybe then you don’t reallize that the actors cannot capture the essence of those characters at all (cept quinto). If you have seen the old show or movies the performances are kinda insulting particularly simon pegg
