The Bends when I want to rock; Kid A when I want to feel like an alien.
4 Minute Warning… And every other song they have ever made because they are completely astonishing.
1. Kid A 10.0 (my favorite of all time too)
2. OK Computer 10.0 (my favorite of the 90’s)
3. The Bends 10.0 (my favorite of 1995)
4. In Rainbows 9.8 (my favorite of 2007)
5. Amnesiac 9.7
6. Hail To The Thief 8.6
7. Pablo Honey 7.4
The songs are too hard to choose. They also my favorite band live.
OK Computer is my favourite album ever alongside Interpol’s TOTBL. However, I don’t listen to either that much anymore.
The Bends, then Kid A, then In Rainbows, then Hail to the thief, then Pablo Honey.
idioteque in ’ the most gigantic lying mouth of all time’ also amazing.
@OK Computer: Have you seen There There in The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth Of All Time? Thom sings some lines missing from the studio version which are incredible: Just cause you see it, doesn’t mean it’s there… or An impossible situation that I could never win…
@Cat: Cymbal Rush is awesome. Do you like Harrowdown Hill? Time is running out for us… is from the Clock! and oh: We ride tonight, we ride tonight… Ghost horses, ghost horses… :)
@reza yeah. and it was awesome! i like that version more than the studio version.
I don’t want to be your friend, I just want to be your lover…
The Bends are my favorite radiohead’s album. I listened to it during junior high. And nothing beats it. Radiohead is always inspiring. It’s about time it shows up in here in mubi whatever kuki land.
I guess The Bends is my favorite since it remains the one I play most. Radiohead is one of those groups I won’t listen to for a long time and then get on a kick and play a whole bunch. I usually start with The Bends.
Hurray for The Bends!
The only Radiohead album I don’t like is Pablo Honey, and even that one has moments. Otherwise they’re all terrific, a consistently admirable band.
AHHHH! Yes! Perfect thread!
Favorite songs (in no particular order):
-all of Kid A
-all of In Rainbows
-all of Amnesiac
-all of Hail to the Thief
….well, everything by them really.
I’ve also recently gotten into their Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief B-sides. “The Amazing Sounds of Orgy,” “Kinetic,” “Paperbag Writer,” and “Where Bluebirds Fly” are really great!
Climbing Up the Walls
exit music (for a film)
I love all radiohead albums except pablo honey. My personal favorite album is Ok Computer
not a big fan of radiohead but i liked some of their songs especially no surprises and exit music
For those who might be interested, Phil Selway just recorded a CD and there’s a free download from it on his web site.
1. Street Spirit (Fade Out)
2. No Surprises
3. Morning Bell
4. All I Need
5. Bulletproof… I Wish I Was
I don’t know if I could pick a favorite album, and my favorite song by them really depends on what I’m feeling at the moment (lately it’s been “Climbing Up the Walls” and “No Surprises”).
But “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” will always be right near the top of the list for me, so much so that I made my own music video for it a while back.
Favorite Thom Yorke guest appearance:
Murderers you’re murderers, we are not the same as you.
Favorite Radiohead covers:
Just cause Myxomatosis has been neglected
I twitch and I salivate, I twitch and I salivate
The best thing Radiohead have ever done:
“Ceremony” is such an incredible song. Beyond great.
