What is a “saved” list (sorry, I’m Canadian)

Hidden Behind the Screen

Well in Netflix you have a thing called a Q which is a list of movies you want to have sent to you arranged in the order you want to see them. However if you add a movie to your Q that is currently unavailable (usually they never become available) then it goes to your “saved” list…If the movie does become available, it is automatically added to your Q

Oh man, I have a bunch.. I joined Facets (www.facetsmovies.com) for a while to rent some films that were unavailable at Netflix and the library. I was able to see some obscure Fassbinder films that I was wanting to see. Once in a while some of my saved queue will be available in streaming. This always makes me really happy..

Hidden Behind the Screen

Wow and I thought I had alot to go… 121 in DVD Q and 90 in instant play..

House of Leaves

It grows and grows but I don’t pay attention to the number. Basically if anyone on here suggests a movie to me I add it to the Q. Right now the top is all Cup films, plus a few here and there.

zyria

Hidden, I think Weekend is a film worth seeking out.. I found that at my local library.

Hidden Behind the Screen

Thanks. Out of all of those Weekend is the one I most eagerly await… I’ll try looking for it somewhere or another.

Holy god it’s like 100$ on Amazon.

zyria

Looks like it’s available at Facets. I know it sucks having to join 2 movie rental sites, but you could just join for a while like I did.

Hidden Behind the Screen

Might just have to do that if they have some more off my saved list…some Satyajit Ray would seal the deal. I’ll have a look. By the way thanks for reccomending that! I’d never heard of it.

“Saved queue is unavailable to rent…i.e. not on DVD.”

actually, it just means it’s unavailable on Netflix. In some cases the films are soon to be released, in others they don’t carry the film, or the discs have been damaged. With the exception of the Walsh/Flynn pictures on my list, everything else has been released on DVD.

i am involved in a daily struggle with my queue. 143 in the saved section and 500 in both. if i find a film i now have a document saved and MUBI “i want to watch this,” but it still doesn’t seem enough.
