No he's not actually. I'm a big fan of his but there are other directors I place above him. I don't think I could choose just one director...living or dead! Dead of course it would come down to Hitchcock and Kubrick. But alive? That's a tough question. There's Scorsese, P.T. Anderson, The Coens, Tarantino, Mann and the list goes on. Very hard choice. Oh and I shouldn't forget Haneke. Have you seen any of his work?

You've seen more than I have. I would rank them like this. 1. Heat 2. The Insider 3. Collateral 4. Miami Vice (A re watch did wonders for me) 5. Public Enemies (I need to re watch it) 6. The Last of the Mohicans (I really need to see this one again)
