To this day, this film is the reason that I refuse to go camping. The seconds-long dream sequence at the end haunted my dreams for about a week. They don't make films like this anymore - slow, meditative, character-driven films, such as this one are seldom seen in mainstream theatres. This is a true work of art. The minimalist score is a plus, and it is creepy as hell.
Extremely disturbing. Micheal Shannon should have been nominated for an Oscar. The same applies for Ashley Judd. Extraordinary.
I finally saw thisfilm last week. Mildly impressed. Doesn't live up to the hype.
One of the best films that I have seen all year. Beautiful, haunting, and provocative in the best ways possible. I need to own this on Blu-ray ASAP. As good as cinema can get.
One of the best films ever made.
I am first and foremost a fan of Fellini's 8 1/2. However, this film was not as bad as everyone made it out to be. Yes, there were a few rough spots, but it wasn't horrible. I found it entertaining.
Such an uneven, disappointing film. Peter Jackson should be spanked.
The best adaptation of Alice In Wonderland to date. It is such a beautiful, creepy experience. I absolutely love everything about it. Genius.
Between Spike Jonze and Wes Anderson, the children's film has been turned upside down on it's head. Beautiful and touching film from Wes. As is the case with the rest of his films, I absolutely loved every minute of it.
One of the best films of this year or any other year. I loved every minute of it...and it made me cry, so that's saying something...
Haunting and hilarious. I loved it.
My first Truffaut experience, and I loved it. Very intense with fantastic performances! I loved the musical score as well!
Terrible.
I'll be the first to admit, this film had to grow on me. As for myself, this is true with any Solondz film. I have a newfound appreciation for his work, and I just bought this on DVD to watch it again.
Definitely one of my favorite films. I love it. It is amazing.
