My god, this film is boring. An aging James Steward playing the leading man with Kim Novak 'acting' her way through this plodding and thin plot. With all due respect to Roger Ebert who watched this travelogue frame by frame, this is not even in the same ballpark as "Citizen Kane." No wit, no inventiveness. Just panoramic shots of the Bay Area and painful dialog. The 'King' is dead, long live the homunculus.
