Please allow a half star system as the full star system does not enable me to accurately express my cinematic opinions. Here is a brief key for my application of stars towards a movie:

5 stars: This means to me one of two things:

1) An overall cinematic masterpiece such as Stalker, Tokyo Story or Citizen Kane.
2) An overall cinematic masterpiece within it’s genre such as XTRO, Death Wish 3, Tarkan vs The Vikings or “Santo and the Blue Demon vs Dracula and The Wolfman.”

4 stars: A great film
3 stars: A good film
2 stars: An okay/not so good film or a bad film with some redeeming qualities to it.
1 star: I would rather gargle a high concentration of sulfuric acid than to have to watch this waste of celluloid/GB again.
