a very dark, somewhat comedic and very critical view of sicilian life. while i thought divorce italian style gave the same insight into this island's life (in more darkly comedic way), this film shows how far people will go to save face no matter the moral or ethical standards. i would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't so infuriating but i suppose that's what makes good cinema.
heartbreaking....
mifune's sanjuro makes eastwood's man with no name his bitch.
not as interesting as lagerfeld confidential or marc jacobs and Louie vuitton it felt just very flat.
metal dresses. hilarious.
very, very, very cute movie. that really is the best way to describe it.
as beautiful as it is brutal. as serene as it is shocking. while the subject matter can be discussed and analyzed till whenever, the cinemtography, without question, is quite stunning. the "shit" eating scene was more funny than disgusting.
one of the greatest if not the greatest sports documentary i have ever seen. i just love the way George Plimpton and Norman Mailer just go on and on about how important this one sporting event is and how powerful Ali seemed. i really cant wait to see soul power( the companion film about the "Black Woodstock" music festival that coincided with the fight).
i couldn't get into the film no matter how hard i tried( multiple viewings both by myself and with my girlfriend).the crazy headmistress did make the film somewhat interesting.costuming was nice. shots of Australia was beautiful yet the movie was bland.
