About Me

The very first film that I watched in a Movies Theater was a Walt Disney one. I don’t remember the title but it wasn’t a cartoon. I felt what Jean-Luc Godard said a few years ago : “Watching a film in a Movies Theater is being smaller than the people on the screen. There are movies and the Cinema. The Cinema is bigger than life”. Sometimes before the seeing the Walt Disney’s movie I remembered that I wanted to go with my olders sisters & watch Jacques Demy’s “Peau d’Ane”. Only because of Catherine Deneuve of whom I was in love ! But my parents thought I was too young to see it :( It had been a sad day which finally permits me to some times later to see what became the first one. Besides Catherine Deneuve, my first movies feelings, thanks to the televisionl, had been to discover the face, the eyes and the unique silhouette of Audrey Hepburn and the Grace Kelly’s ones but also the ones of Tony Curtis. I will never forget them neither that sweet memories. Later at the age of 14 when I was reading “East of Eden” I really met “Le Cinéma” thanks to the two “Ciné Club” broadcasted around midnight of the French TV. The Elia Kazan’s film was going to be showing on a late Sunday evening and I had to convince her to let me watch it. My Mum finally accepted because she was very open minded and a fan of the American films, Music, Arts & Litterature from a longtime. That’s one of the most important gift I received from my beloved and wonderful Mummy Josette (Fez, Morocco 1933-2000 Paris, France) and in my life. There are only a few good people in my family who have a huge place in my heart for each part and time of my short life. Please let me introduce them : my grand parents François (1900-1978) & Jeanne Lorenzi (1897-1979) and my mum Josette Marie-Josèphe Lorenzi (1933-2000). That’s the reason I have chosen to get their last name, Lorenzi, and to add it the one of Belvidè which is the corsican name of my Family’s village in Corsica : Belvédère :)
