Continued: But like most Americans, they are indignant and ignorant of any other language, can't help but think that Godard did this on purpose and that he is smiling somewhere in Switzerland! Well done, Godard, well done.

This film experience was even better with Hollywood LA people freaking and walking out of screening @ AFI. Honestly, it seems to me that subtitles would supply only a small bit of a road map for a film that is very visually-oriented, where you can understand a good bit of what Godard is doing without English subtitles.
