Boy

The last shot is incredible, as the officer reflects to 'Boy' that he got to travel on a plane, and that he must of had 'Fun' a tear rolling down his face, Boy has lost the willpower to retort, and simply agrees... eyes to the floor. Very poignant and sobering film - one of, if not Oshima's greatest achievement.

I agree (I think) about My Dinner With André. I've seen it once many many years ago, & I'm loath to revisit. Some films are brilliant once, lacklustre twice.

That's to bad man, sorry to hear that, hopefully it turns out for the better. I've been alright, just started my vacations about a week ago, so I've pretty much just been hanging out here and there. Movie wise, let me see, I'd reccomend Faithful Heart, anything Tom Noonan or Mark Rappaport, Erotikan, The Immortal Story (don't know how into Welles you are but this was a lovely suprise for me), Lugar Sin Limetes, Yellow Sky, The Wrestler and The Clown and some crazy ass Carmelo Bene maybe...
