You have Truffaut high in your favorite auteurs list. Good job. My main film teacher loved French cinema (especially new wave) and, in part, I think it accounted for me learning French. That recent Woody Allen film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, was OK, but for the most of the film, I wished I was spending the time watching Jules and Jim instead.
