Tilda is such a treasure! This picture is such a breath of fresh air, it is really a provoking picture, its dirty and ugly at times. But yet it has this power that it just grabs you and makes you see this character's reality. The ending is so fantasic it left me really wanting her to get want she wants, she wins you over, when in fact its wrong on what she has done. It's just a great film.

You Again

Its a "pick you upper" type of film, but its still cheesy as hell.

Warrendale

I like how Allan King showed the highs and lows of dealing with these children, the passion that the helpers must have to be able to have the strength to stand the abuse that they get at times. Also I like how it isn't based on just one side. There isn't a point of view, there isn't an idea that is thrown at you. Its just pure viewing at its purest, and really, any idea that you have is your own for this film.

The Edge of Love

I wanted more from this film, I felt no satisfaction, I found that it needed a stronger climax. But it is a good film, that catches interest.

Intermission

I liked it because there were some things that I just found funny. But it is interesting how all the characters are connected somehow.

This Is England

Its a very powerful story that you can't close your mind to, its interesting to be able to find this kind of film was made. Its fearless of showing the real side of these characters without being jugdeful, glamourize. Well made and acted, its very touching, its like it grabs you from the balls and forces you to watch something the can be typically ugly.

Splice

I never found the rape scene to be disturing but I did find the idea of the fact bascially it was half of her that was raping her. She did use her own DNA but I think of the as a whole it was alright. I did found it very interesting the whole story line and character developement by the actors. But I must state that I saw it coming that the animal/human creature was going to turn to a man and rape her. I felt more awkward when Clive was having sex with the creature (maybe because my father was sitting next to me). But I agree with you Tobias... I too felt that is was presented in an outrageous way to be transgessive.

The Piano

I love this picture and I love Jane Campion. Its touching and real. I love the actresses, I love everything about this picutre. I think more people need to know who is Jane Campion as the director. She really is the type of director that is different and distinctive not only because she is one of the few female directors that are recognize but because of her process of filming and writing and the fact that she can show us so much with the great acting in this film without having the any need of any type of overexposure. With her work it is always just the right amount of Je ne sais pas.

The Red Shoes

Breathtaking and a true classic without a doubt. I loved every thing about this picture.... A sad ending I think is what makes it grab you even more and make you remember this story and dances for a long time to come.

The Red Balloon

So Charming and simple, its just very sweet and full of intrigued, I seem to comprehend how such a tiny little film like this one can call to you. Only because the fact of its simplicity and charm I just want to have more of this type of caliber in films. More quality vs complicated visual crap at times. I can't help but wonder how they made this film.

Cute film but could have been better... a good "hollywood" film. Good acting from portman's little role!

Cries and Whispers

Truly touching and dark. I like to use of red in the picture, it's stain on the whole feel of this wonderful, rich picture. Very haunting and interesting... a must see picture from Bergman. Also a bit scary around the end...

The War Is Over

I found it very intimate, the shots. It had to be Resnais or else this picture would have been like many other political structured films of its time. It is just completely on the verge of boredom with this type of material to work with, but because this picutre was made from Resnais it's not, you're not put off from watching this picture because of the way it was filmed. I found it to be well made and a good picture

Alice in Wonderland

I like Tim's films, this one was okay but it bothered me when johnny depp starting dancing... like a super drugged up version of mj. Hmmmmm it was okay.

Alice in Wonderland

LOVE IT!!! It bloodly good and witty. Unpredictable.

Monty Python's Life of Brian

I love this, very provocative with the use of camera work and style. It seems new to me, even though it was made in 43. It is just brillant, I don't think after watching this short picture, that you could ever forget it. It's strange and out there, a clear vision of the use of dreams and weird reality all rolled into one. A very dark artistic film.

Meshes of the Afternoon

I LOVE THIS PICTURE.... it's damn good.

Nights of Cabiria

AWWWW!!! I love this picture, so heart breaking. Witty and interesting on the situations in which Cabiria finds her self in. But, yet sorrowful and beautiful. The ending for me gave me hope for her character and eventually she would find something of worth. As well as that she would stay sweet, no matter what would happen to her. I don't think she would give up ever wanting to be loved and looking for love.

Nights of Cabiria

I liked this picture very much, thoughtful to the two real people which the movie is based. I found it very touching and truthful to the way the times were and still are. It's makes you think that's for sure. Viva Che!
