Very touching and moving and I found the acting to be very good. I love it! A must see!
I hated the ending.... mmmm was actually interested in the rest...
I don't know why.... but I liked Tom Cruise in this... :-/
I had no pitty for Keira's version of Anna! Still loved the sets and costumes!
Such a powerful story! Really heart breaking and touching, the acting very interesting and understated, perfect I thought. It really made me think sad :-( I will most definitely read the book!
Not even worth rating! Argh I really like waltz but wtf?? So awful!
I love this book, the film was good too.
This girl is crazy!!!
Joaquin is so intense in this film... like it was a great performance from this actor, very interesting to me. It was long but you pretty much have to be interested in the film's subject or else you'll fall alseep like my mother did in the cinema :-/
Argofuckyourself ;)
I can not stand bello in this picture! She's so fake the accent and all! Not a good choice to use her to replace Weisz. Plus for a 21 year son they should all be pretty older... Whatever what else do you expect from Hollywood ?
Love the dialogue...
I love the Muppets!
Makes me want to play clue! It's pretty clever and witty. Love Tim Curry!
Tilda is such a treasure! This picture is such a breath of fresh air, it is really a provoking picture, its dirty and ugly at times. But yet it has this power that it just grabs you and makes you see this character's reality. The ending is so fantasic it left me really wanting her to get want she wants, she wins you over, when in fact its wrong on what she has done. It's just a great film.
The end hurt me!!!!
Its a "pick you upper" type of film, but its still cheesy as hell.
I like how Allan King showed the highs and lows of dealing with these children, the passion that the helpers must have to be able to have the strength to stand the abuse that they get at times. Also I like how it isn't based on just one side. There isn't a point of view, there isn't an idea that is thrown at you. Its just pure viewing at its purest, and really, any idea that you have is your own for this film.
I LOVE ABBA... but I hate this film.
I was into it but the ending got me right out of it!
I loved everything about this film. The acting, the writing, the directing, the music...EVERYTHING!!!! It is a very cute film.
I wanted more from this film, I felt no satisfaction, I found that it needed a stronger climax. But it is a good film, that catches interest.
I liked it because there were some things that I just found funny. But it is interesting how all the characters are connected somehow.
Its a very powerful story that you can't close your mind to, its interesting to be able to find this kind of film was made. Its fearless of showing the real side of these characters without being jugdeful, glamourize. Well made and acted, its very touching, its like it grabs you from the balls and forces you to watch something the can be typically ugly.
Orson's bloody best in my opinion.
I love how they dance!!!!!!!
I never found the rape scene to be disturing but I did find the idea of the fact bascially it was half of her that was raping her. She did use her own DNA but I think of the as a whole it was alright. I did found it very interesting the whole story line and character developement by the actors. But I must state that I saw it coming that the animal/human creature was going to turn to a man and rape her. I felt more awkward when Clive was having sex with the creature (maybe because my father was sitting next to me). But I agree with you Tobias... I too felt that is was presented in an outrageous way to be transgessive.
I love this picture and I love Jane Campion. Its touching and real. I love the actresses, I love everything about this picutre. I think more people need to know who is Jane Campion as the director. She really is the type of director that is different and distinctive not only because she is one of the few female directors that are recognize but because of her process of filming and writing and the fact that she can show us so much with the great acting in this film without having the any need of any type of overexposure. With her work it is always just the right amount of Je ne sais pas.
Breathtaking and a true classic without a doubt. I loved every thing about this picture.... A sad ending I think is what makes it grab you even more and make you remember this story and dances for a long time to come.
So Charming and simple, its just very sweet and full of intrigued, I seem to comprehend how such a tiny little film like this one can call to you. Only because the fact of its simplicity and charm I just want to have more of this type of caliber in films. More quality vs complicated visual crap at times. I can't help but wonder how they made this film.
