“if….”. I got it from blockbuster, never having heard of Criterion, and the film and special features were incredible, so I basically fell in love. Then I found Godard. :D
Paul Blart: Mall Cop, the only reason I saw it was because the people at the theater wouldn’t let me buy tickets to Defiance, and that was the only other movie my friends would agree to see. The worst hour and a half of my life. I tried to fall asleep, but sadly, I couldn’t.
Will everybody shut the fuck up please? Just be happy they’re releasing films at all, and if you really want a film in the collection request it as much as you can. Jesus Christ almighty.
That being said, I notice a gap in numbers on the “coming soon” page. Anyone know what those films might be?
I just saw it at the Savannah Film Festival and I loved it. There was a panel afterwards with the director, the screenwriter, Emmy Rossum, Zach Gilford, & Ashley Springer. It shed some light about the meanings of the film and the way it came together. It was quite nice, indeed.
Honestly, Penelope Cruz over Julianne Moore? ‘The Blind Side’ over ‘A Single Man’? No screenplay nomination for ‘(500) Days of Summer’? That’s fucking rediculous.
I saw “Crash” in its opening weekend and I hated it, and I grew to like it as I saw it over and over again. So yeah, that would be an incorrect statement.
How about Maggie Gyllenhaal pulling a major upset by winning the supporting actress Oscar from Mo’Nique? That would be something I would’ve loved to have seen.
