I like Ben Whishaw's everything!
A work of art.
Came out of nowhere to become one of America's finest actors
It looks like an Oscar parody
love that ending
The only thing I took from this film is the knowledge that Lily Cole can't act. Gilliam is rapidily turning into a parody of himself.
Love the dog in heels bit.
God I love this movie! and superhero marvel flicks in general
I so badly wanted to love this film, but I just couldn't and aside from Ben Whishaw's inspired turn there is nothing noteworthy in this mess of an adaptation.
absolutely perfect in every way.
I liked Ben Whishaw's Ariel. He was an unholy cross between an ancient dryad and a dragqueen. Russel Brand kinda ruined it for me, he shouldn't be allowed to make movies. There were some cool visuals but overall it just didn't work, it always happens in Taymor's films, she has all the right ingrediants but when she brings them together everything falls apart
So hip it hurts
Sex and the City: the TV show was great. Sex and the City: The Movie(s) not so much
A film of such understated beauty and grace. The way Hogg experiments with light, shading and colour are sublime. No one is making films of this calibre in British cinema at the moment. Simply astonishing.
Christian Bale is a force of nature. He is ridiculously brilliant in this film.
The steel cube was brilliant?
I found it quite moving.
So grand, so beautiful.
Romantic & minamilist.
Ocean's Eleven remade by Wes Anderson.
Nolan's latest mindfuck. Killer cast.
It was a good idea in theory, making an experimental art house film inspired by the life and work of one of the twentieth century's most visionary artists but up on screen it just does not work, in any way, shape or form.
Maggie Smith, as the idealistic school teacher Jean Brodie simply delievers one of the greatest performances ever captured on film.
Criminally underrated as an actress.
Utterly charming. Woody Allen's best film in years.
Pure poetry.
Surprisingly good. This is the only redeeming piece of cinema in Guy Ritchie's pretty horrendous filmmaker career and the only i would rate higher than one star.
Woody Allen's finest hour and one of the greatest American pictures in the history of cinema.
An alluring piece of cinema. Beautiful photography; exquisite costumes and art direction; a fine screenplay and subtle direction. I tip my hat to you Sofia Coppola.
Cate Blanchett is a genius. Richard Gere is not.
A pointless piece of cinema. It isn't funny, it isn't scary, it isn't entertaining, it has bad acting, a camp score and tacky, vulgar imagery. One of Burton's worst attempts at 'filmmaking'.
