I recently built a ‘rig’ with a 2 × 4 and some zip ties and I was amazed at the result. Using the board as a somewhat ‘steadicam’ really kept the shot smooth. It worked even better as my tripod where I could easily prop it up against the wall and have more freedom to adjust the shot without tinkering with the tripod legs and such.
TV Shows on DVD are way to profitable for studios to sign over the rights to a specialty house like Criterion. Plus could you imagine how much money you would end up spending to get the entire Sopranos: Criterion Collection or The Complete Seinfeld. It would have to be about 699 bucks. Eventually the seasons would be released separately but the packaging wouldn’t be as nice.
It’s a shame The Hurt Locker wasn’t embraced more, the studio handled the marketing terribly. Damn shame about AOJJBTCRF as well. Have to think about flop of all time.
Has anyone seen or even heard anything about this movie and why it could possibly be the most unpopular movie on the autuers? It really doesn’t sound all that terrible. I could see it being a bit taxing I suppose, the film must just turn into footage from the director’s colonoscopy, that’s the only thing I can come up with. Let’s get some discussion going on what we think goes on within this flick.
Potato is probably going to win the Criterion Staff vote and that one where some teenagers pretend to be drunk and dress up in drag will win the YouTube Community vote.
It would need to have trailers for all of the movies. Each release would have it’s own page that would give you all the basic information found on the site. There would also need to be a list page where you could simply tap and the movie would be added to your collection. Then have some way to show all of the spines you currently own on some kind of “My Criterion Shelf” and you could post this to wherever and show off. I kind of really want this application.
