I was not overly impressed with the camerawork in general. I assume it was a choice, but it took away from the movie, in my opinion.
Fincher has become so calculated, the multiple takes the perfect camera placement, that you lose the spontaneity of life. Decent effort, but Fincher needs to get out of his comfort zone.
If this was directed by someone who had never made a sports movie we would have had something really special here. O' Connor still thinks he is making "Miracle." Hardy is an wild animal and the close up on him fighting for his life is the greatest moment in the film. Also, lay down some boards or something when filming in the sand at night guys, really sloppy camera work there that could have been easily fixed.
From the first frame Refn has you gripped. This a truly a director's showcase as every element works perfectly for the universe created. 5 of 5!
I as really looking forward to seeing how Libatique would shoot a western, not even close to Elswit or Deakins. Stick to the gritty city my man.
Oh my god this was awful. I can't believe this is enjoyable entertainment for so many people. The hell?
I'm blown away that this is getting positive reviews! I can't wait til Friday!
Whiskey Galore! This movie sounds beyond amazing. I will find this somewhere.
I really have no idea how is is going to turn "The Social Network" into another great film but I can't wait to find out!
I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching Eyes Wide Shut. There is simply too much to decipher, too much to take in and too many new revelations each time I watch it. I watched EWS in Widescreen and on a HD TV and almost lost my mind by how gorgeous it is. I think Kubrick died so that this film wouldn't have to be manhandled and chopped down in any way, you don't try to fix a dead man's last film.
I cannot wait for this flick! Going to one crazyass time. Will be good to actually see Cage trying. "Not the bees...AH my face...beees"
This is THE unpopular film on the site. It doesn't sound that bad. I wonder what went wrong? I need to find this movie.
