I am not a cat with a crab shell on its head.
I live in Portland near the archive known as Movie Madness video store. I have for 15 years (since high school) going there with friends to find weirdo and punk style movies, with girlfriends to find movies they like me all the better for (I wish), hard scrabble non sense, westerns, Noir in all its forms,
I used to be taken as a kid to crap like “Were the Green ants Live” “Gods must be Crazy” and “City of Lost Children”
If you like those films, then you have different ideas then I have and maybe leave it at that, but consider.
Now Im proud of the first film that I was intrigued by in the Noir area was Le Samurai. I watched it in a theater, then watched Taxi Driver for the first time the same, 30 years after its making. What can I say, those films, and watching a thousand b and c films (okay only hundreds!) Should, if nothing else make people question; Why are our worlds cinematic archives being tossed to be destroyed? That is why I love the preservation this site aims to achieve.
Good luck and god speed!
