About Me

I find these painfully awkward but let’s give this a shot. I’ve seen a lot a films but I need to see a lot more. There’s plenty of essentials I still need to see though I’m equally interested in finding obscure titles and appreciating less conventional choices.

From here on out I’ve always found it kinda pointless describing my taste, after all on a site like this I think a person’s list of favorites and write ups can speak for themselves.

The Great Piggy Bank Robbery

One of my absolute favorite Looney Tunes cartoons growing up, a perfect send up to pulp/noir detective comics in the same way The Band Wagon is a take on film noir. I also really love the contrast with Clampett's Daffy vs. Jones Daffy. Masterpiece among cartoons.

Haha I just saw your answer. But yeah the Russell films I've seen have been pretty hit or miss but 'The Devils' and 'The Boyfriend' are pretty great. Have you seen 'The Music Lovers' ? because I hear that one's pretty good.

And I had just started reading Rayn's stuff (while writing a paper on Suzuki), it was a great find.

Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath is one of Bava’s most important entries though I’d hardly call it his best. While it’s one of his most popular, the film on a whole isn’t quite as inventive as ‘Black Sunday’ or ‘Kill…  read review
