I read your review of coraline and I think if you have not already seen them you should check out the work of Jan Svankmajer, he makes the greatest stop motion animation I have seen. Although I would suggest watching anything you can get your hands on of his, his version of Alice in Wonderland, and the short films Dimensions of Dialogue (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2gtpo_jan-svankmajer-dimensions-of-dialog_shortfilms)\ and Darkness/Light/Darkness (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuBwXfg3Mr4)
