How, how is this any good? How does a lower grade picture have this much watchability? This is a different Bogie, his tough guy image yes but with a heavy dose of Dixon Steele. This alone makes for a good film but something in the simple plot development and tone makes it more. Maybe I just have a thing for plots with ex-GI's going back to Japan and encountering intense pain when digging up the ghosts of the past.

Regarding your comment of Bond with the PPK. He only just got the PPK back after like nearly 4 films! Why would you want him to give it up? It's a Bond tradition.

yes FRITZ LANG'S Ministry of Fear is worth tracking a copy, but try to see it on film, it was made for film viewing, and VHS is old news, grab a decent dvd...at least, although lang's films seem to pale when seen on tv/dvd/pc, etc, it's a shame...
