Red-psalm

Red Psalm

A beautiful film visually and aurally. Technically speaking, this is a film making master class. However, the plot doesn't really progress throughout and it gets a little repetitive after a while. It would have been nice if it had gone into some other aspects of revolution/rebellion rather than replaying the 'proletariats surrounded by oppressors' scenario over and over.

Thanks for the Possession vote--great to see a new fan of Zulawski. And Possession's been taking such a beating for so many rounds now... good, I guess, that there's at least one other Zulawski film in the running...

Shame it went out the next day. :( I've not watched 'Third Part of the Night' yet, but I intend to soon.

Thanks for watching Screen Tests and I'm glad you liked it. I would have frlt bad if someone watched it and hated it. Holland is a great director and it's sad that all people really know her by is Europa Europa or Angry Harvest. I'm starting work on a thread for her similar to my Pialat thread.
