i have no idea but i'm glad they did give it up 'cause i probably never would've come across it. one man's trash... i got "short eyes", "the sun always shines for the cool" and "outrageous one act plays". "on the road" is a hard ass book to get into. at least, it was when i first tried to read it. at some point i'll attempt it again but i definitely understand your plight, man. so many books. so little time.

yeah! i loved it, too. and amiri baraka popping up at the end was the cherry on top, for me. that's my dude. i picked it up in a second hand store a month or so ago but didn't watch it until last week. i went to the library and got all the books they had by him after seeing it, lol. i can't wait to finish these damn papers so i can get into 'em.
