Could Catherine Deneuve possibly be any more beautiful? I think not. Brilliant film.
my least favorite Chaplin, but still quite entertaining. Kind of strange seeing him as a villain, but I guess that's where the wit is.
very possibly my favorite Chaplin film.
the very definition of pure comedy
Officially my favorite Shakespeare film and probably my favorite Welles performance.
kind of sad that I had to see this on a VHS copy older than me, but I can see why MGM (although I'd assume that Warner has it now) would never want this to see the light of day again. I love Harlow's insistence on never wearing anything more than a night gown and Gable constantly telling her not to walk around half-naked and wear clothes!
This is the guy that's famous for turning everything down! Imagine...if he'd actually been in "Casablanca" or "Double Indemnity" he might have a picture and a quote here!
Pathetic....anything that actually celebrates the awfulness of "Two & A 1/2 Men" is just that - pathetic
Great film...not one of my favorite Ford's, but still quite entertaining....loved the fight!
one of the best experiences I've ever had in a theater was seeing this... even watching the BluRay diminished its power. so great
wonderful, thrilling slice of suspense...the ending is a little bizarre (to put it mildly), but the rest of the film was just amazing. So happy to see this (and for free!)
a little long with some gratuitous moments, but with all the great acting performances in this film, that's forgivable
just an hour & a 1/2 TNG episode...nothing more
Pretty entertaining film with a nice twist at the end...still it's a little too didactic to enjoy on a regular basis
very good, albeit with some boring sequences, but that happens when you're going over the 5 1/2 hour mark...loved Edgar Ramirez
the only reason why David Spade should be able to breathe oxygen
It's a shame such great animation and designs come together for such a bland movie....I only watch it for the animation
By default, you had to figure that this was going to be better than the original and it was. The 3D visuals were incredibly well done, though.
Caught this on TCM this morning....nothing out of the ordinary....Alan Ladd is pretty good but beyond that there's really not much doing. Entertaining, but nothing special.
Brilliant depiction of the Dreyfus affair...Schildkraut earns every ounce of that Best Supporting Oscar. I feel like I owe Warner Bros. money after I bought it for $3 at a discount store...
Harry Carey Jr. was easily the highlight although seeing the Duke care for a baby was pretty funny. Better than I was expecting, but I'd hardly call it essential.
Remarkable...completely blown out of the water by this
How on earth was that made in 1908? Wonderful.
I just came back from a showing at MoMA in NYC. Absolutely breathtaking. Now, I need MoC BluRay.
This really was the best of the package features (at least compared to the others I've seen - "Make Mine Music", "Sauludos Amigos", this and "Crane & Mr. Toad"). It's a fun film and sure, some of the sequences are a bit boring, but Donald is always worth a laugh.
Great animation is the real highlight of this, plus the great Nilsson's songs. I'd kill to have the Dustin Hoffman narration available, although Ringo is pretty good.
not as bad as I expected...Glen Campbell wasn't that bad, but Kim Darby was just too cute to be believed as a little girl who grew up in the West. She looked like she just walked out of a Disney movie. I also have to admit it was just too long. Why it took 45 minutes for them to get out and go after the killer, I'll never know.
Personally, this is my least favorite of the three films, but the Birth skit just floors me every time.
absolutely astounding...one of the best films I've ever seen. You get so wrapped up in it, especially during the second hour, that it's impossible to believe that three hours and ten minutes passed while you were watching it.
eh....no....It was funny but that's it.
