Strikingly beautiful but ultimately + entirely unaffecting. It plays as if emotion is expected, but the film does nothing to make one FEEL anything. This is the kind of movie naysayers like myself will have to fight against the "you just don't GET it" argument. The spark his films thrive off of felt as if it were missing entirely. Certain scenes had me feeling it was straddling on self-parody. Spin, spin, spin, spin.
