Thanks for liking my comment about Saraband! That movie surprised the hell out of me with its raw emotional charge. It seems to me that the film is about the various ways that humans communicate with each other, and, also, with themselves. Btw, Fanny and Alexander is another Bergman that I recommend highly. I cried tears of joy at the end of the TV version, and it wasn't from the lager that I was drinking either, lol

Definitely. I recently read an interview where Tarantino said he was gonna stop making movies because he noticed a trend of old men making suckful movies! Well, he should watch Bergman becasue his later movies are definitely as worthwhile as the older ones in my opinion! Of course, we are talking about one of the all-time greats!
