Slumdog Millionaire, Shakespeare in love, The Sea Inside, Matchstick Men, Chapter 27, Batman Begins, American Beauty, Requiem for a dream, A beautiful mind…
Special Mention: Gran Torino and K-Pax.
Yes, I’ve seen worst movies but I really hate prefabricated pretentious movies, that take audience for a fool. At least, Uwe Boll and others could be funny with some beers…
I know that it’s not a very popular point of view, but films like “American Beauty” or “Requiem for a dream”, in my opinion, lacks sincerity. I only can saw it like a bombing of distressing images to impact the audience without a seriously work in characters or cinematic. It’s not hate oscar winning… It’s hate movies only be made to win an oscar.
@JOSH S.: I know that some studies attributes the paintings to his son, Javier. But it’s hard to believe that Javier Goya had the same talent to paint grotesque scenes. Actually, the only painting of Goya that I doubt to attribute him, is “The Colossus”. I read some points of an study that considered Asensio Juliá, an apprentice of Goya, as the author, and I agree. Otherwise, the Caprichos are unquestionably Goya’s work, and are very influence in the later painters.
Goya was a great influence in the cinema too. Some people considered him like a precursor of gore and surrealism and some of his works has elements from comic narrative. In fact, the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards are called Goyas.
@SAM H: Yes, In quality terms, they aren’t the worst movies that I’d seen. But, in my cinema patterns, They are the best examples from a dishonest cinema, from a industry that tried to sell an attractive wrapping with nothing inside. “Slumdog Millionaire” is a pile of hypocrital exotic clichés who tried to clean conscience from the colonialism with a paternalism actitude. Oh, yes, “Troll 2” is a worst movie, but… ¡nobody cares! ¡It never be made to be a great movie, only a exploit direct-to-video! I can´t judge a movie without ambitions.
I don’t know if this is the way to report it, but in the Films section, “Rapture” (a.k.a. “Arrebato”, 1980) has a photo that doesn’t belong to the movie, in fact, it doesn’t belong to any movie… is a photo of the present-day flamenco singer El Arrebato.

Thanks. Some new covers I’d made today.
TIMECRIMES (a.k.a CRONOCRIMENES), a pretty good movie. The cover is a in-joke for everyone that see it.
BIRDSONG (a.k.a. EL CANT DELS OCELLS).
TWO LOVERS. A truly masterpiece. I think that this cover don´t really catch the spirit of the story, but I like it.

Michelangelo’s Pietà appears in a lot of movies, but my favourite recreation is in Don Siegel’s “The Beguiled”.

The Pale Man in “Pan’s labyrinth” was inspired by Goya’s “Saturn Devouring One of His Children”.
“The Descent” take the style from Gustave Doré’s illustrations from “Dante’s Divine Comedy”.

Of course, I’m a huge fan.
