Defies description this – is great on so many levels that I can’t even start explaining why – would need pages and pages for a review to do this film justice. But I will say one thing – if anyone has a special interest in film sound – this is an utter MUST SEE. Heck, everyone should see it.

Thank you for your notes on the "ANTICHRIST (LARS VON TRIER, 2009)" thread... they helped me to solidify my thoughts following my viewing of the film... Also, I'm happy to find another fan of Rev Road, Amer Beauty, and Dead Man! Excellent films.

Hi Morris, Thanks for the Follow. How did you choose St Petersburg? Has the experience affected your perception of Russian cinema? Your review of "The Mirror" makes me want to see it more than ever.

"I never would have believed I could be reduced to tears at the mere sight of a man turning the pages of a book." i pushed the follow button just because of that sentence... glad to see i'm not the only one who supports Medem's film, hehe. you know, that Greek short you saw has a loose translation which goes like this: Your Shining Eyelashes, but it's one of the many Greek motion pictures which never had a proper translation abroad....anyways,all hail unknown cinema, thanks for liking it!!!

A great way to start exploring the silent era – I had put off doing so, seeing silent films as little more than a formation period of cinema, but this film showed me how wrong I was. Don’t be put…  read review
