John Barrymore said that this was his favorite of all the films he'd made and you can see why. This film is an absolute gem with Barrymore hamming it up as the great Oscar Jaffe and Carole Lombard giving one of her best performances as Lily Garland, the lingere model turned actress. This film is a definite must see.

With zany interwoven plots and even zanier characters along with lively music by The No Smoking Orchestra,"Black Cat, White Cat" is a must see for Kusturica fans and non-fans alike.

Eye opening is definitly accurate and I think this film also shows the importance of keeping religion and government seperate.
