About Me

I’ve studied Weimar film, a bit of Mexican film, and U.S. 40s Musicals. I love zombie movies and old Disney stuff. Sometimes I like movies that are horrible because they are horrible and sometimes I like movies because of their historical value. I like to ask what the message of a film or a film genre is. For example, what does the horror genre say about what people’s fears are at different points in film history? I’m very picky about the type of horror I like. I like fantasy, sci-fi and satire. John Wayne movies are my guilty pleasure.

Gnomeo and Juliet

As a Gnome enthusiast, I loved this. Just adorable. Plus Sir Elton John soundtrack.
