I noticed someone has already made the same comment, but if there was somehow a way to make film recommendations based on what you rate and like similar to how last.fm recommends bands. That would be amazing
Wall-e… best movie of all time? Probably not. But it’s amazing. Throw some Miyazaki in there as well. And more Pixar. Everyone seems to be sticking to that trend anyhow. Oh and I really enjoyed the Batman anime thing that came out a few years ago.

Nope. But I take embarrassment and pride in the fact that until the teaser I thought the film was based on the cartoon Avatar, so that shows how little I know or care about it coming. Plus when I was 12 or however old I was when Titanic came out it was amazing and I saw it in theaters at least twice.
So I just watched Raging Bull for the first time (finally) and in the ending scene I realized it WAS Boogie Nights. So in my delighted surprise I threw on that final sequence in Boogie Nights with Paul’s commentary and he basically says “at this point in the film I realized I had made Raging Bull, Jake LaMotta is projecting himself as Marlon Brando, and here we have Dirk Diggler who really isn’t even Dirk Diggler becoming Brock Flanders (or whatever the hell that character was).”
Anyhow I guess I’m saying this was a fantastic realization and made each of those films more genius to me. Has anyone else made this discovery or am I speaking madness? (edit: so not to be undermined again) Was anyone else as delighted in this revelation as I or am I speaking madness?
Delightful! I’m glad this topic is in discussion (however I do both netflix and library so I guess I blew it) but there’s also some libraries or some online thing that I can’t remember right now where you can request ANY dvd to come to your library and that’s amazing.
So I’m assuming the version I watched online (surfthechannel generally good quality) had the original ending and here she goes.
(Spoil’n)
On the 21st? night Katie wakes up and stands at the side of the bed doing the sped up several hour ordeal like before. She later walks out of the room and downstairs and begins to scream. Micah runs after to check on her and he screams followed by silence. After an actually pretty eerie few moments we hear footsteps coming up the stairs and Katie walks into the bedroom with blood on her stomach and a kitchen knife in hand. She sits down next to the bed disturbedly rocking back and forth. The shot stays here for the period of the entire next day. At some point during the evening a friend or someone knocks on the door. They walk in all while Katie stays rocking and find Micah dead, scream and run out of the house. Still with the same image of Katie even later that night, more knocks at the door, this time being the police. We overhear radio communicating while the cops slowly make their way around the house with flashlights finally coming to where Katie is sitting. She runs up to the officer, whose gun is drawn, asking where Micah is. The officers yell at her to put down the knife but in her insanity keeps moving towards them and is shot dead. The final shot shows Katie’s feet near the doorway while the officers search the rest of the house and it fades out to a “in memory of Katie and Micah” photo.
So there she is. From what my friends who saw it in theatre, that ending (which is basically shown in the trailer) doesn’t seem as good as this one.
I anxiously await every new issue of the comic and was pretty excited when I heard Edgar Wright was behind this (and relieved Bryan O’Malley was helping with the script). This trailer is looking pretty on point and I now anxiously await August 13. Any thoughts?

Tyler Perry - What do you think? over 2 years ago
I’ve never seen any of his films but I think I can comfortably say that bringing his name into this network is completely uncalled for.
